Ripped electrical shop drawings needed for revision changes in Autocad for electrical contractor
Marked up as construction drawings with no red pen, provided by engineers to show data outlet numbers

Do you need to get some drawings knocked over, here’s what we need!

In order to complete your drawings we need the following. Please read these tips and tricks to make our job easier and save you money.

We need:

1. Your marked up drawings.

  • Please spend some time trying to make your mark ups as clear as possible. You may need more than one attempt.
  • Always use RED pen to mark up changes to your drawings. Please do not use pencil or black pen as it makes your changes hard to read.
  • Liquid paper is our worst enemy – we can’t see what’s underneath it! Cross all line changes out with red pen and re-mark with a blue pen or highlighter.
  • Please don’t write upside down on plans. Write all information and notes on the same orientation as the drawing

2. The AutoCAD files (.dwg or .dxf files)

Obviously we need the appropriate CAD files to do the work – we don’t and can’t work on PDFs! Please ask your builder, consultant or engineer to supply ALL of the files associated with you project including ANY X-REFs (external reference files) and JPEGs that may feed information into the drawings.

3. Your logo and address details

Please provide your logo as a high-quality JPEG and we’ll put it on the drawing. Our job is to make you look professional.

Don’t have a logo? Our network of contacts can help!

4. All information for drawings

Have a think about any information that might be relevant to us.

  • Do data outlet number need a prefix? (LV1-001 etc)
  • Which switchboard are the circuits being fed from?
  • Do you require any notes to be left on the drawing?

Not sure about something? Just ask us!
