The Sydney Trains network is expanding

Transport for NSW

Sydney relies on public transport infrastructure to keep millions of locals and tourists on the move. This involves constant maintenance and expansion of the city’s rail network, much of which is undertaken by Drawable customers. Most recently we built Revit models for the electrical contractor on the new Sydney Trains Rail Operations Centre near Green Square Station. This state-of-the-art facility centralises control and support systems, and Drawable has produced the BIM for power, data, lighting and security across shop drawing and for construction phases. But not all our rail-related projects are hi-tech. In 2018, we put our AutoCAD drafting skills to good use for a hydraulic customer, recreating century-old paper plans of the ornate heritage platform awnings at Strathfield Station.
